Jaw crusher is a heavy equipment, and it is used for long-term outdoor operation. In order to ensure the normal operation of jaw crusher, it needs to be well lubricated. Lubricant has many functions, and the characteristics of different types of lubricants are different. Some lubricants have better stability and anti-oxidation, while some lubricants are worse, and the viscosity of lubricants is also different. So, how to choose the right lubricant for jaw crusher?

1. Lubricant has strong stability. The size of jaw crusher and the capacity of oil tank are small, the amount of lubricant is small, and the oil temperature is high during operation, which requires lubricant to have good thermal stability and anti-oxidation.

2. Lubricant is anti-corrosion and can withstand pollution. Because the working environment of jaw crusher is harsh, with more coal dust, rock dust and water, lubricant is inevitably contaminated by these impurities, so lubricant is required to have good anti-rust, anti-corrosion and anti-emulsification properties. When the lubricant is contaminated, its will not change too much, that is, the sensitivity to pollution should be small.

3. Lubricants are less affected by temperature. Jaw crushers work outdoors, and the temperature changes ly between winter and summer. In some areas, the temperature difference between day and night is also large. Therefore, the viscosity of the lubricant should change less with temperature. It is necessary to avoid that the viscosity of the oil becomes too low when the temperature is high, and the lubricating film cannot be formed, and the lubrication effect cannot be achieved. It is also necessary to avoid that the viscosity is too high when the temperature is low, which makes it difficult to start and operate.

4. The lubricant has good flame retardancy. For some machines such as jaw crushers that are often used in mines prone to fire and explosion accidents, it is required to use lubricants with good flame retardancy (anti-flammable liquids), and flammable mineral oils cannot be used.

5. The lubricant has good sealing. The lubricant used in the jaw crusher should have good adaptability to the seal to prevent the seal from being damaged.
